Drinking Water Treatment; City of Montreal Upgrade of Treatment Plants; Detailed Design Phase

The Plant Upgrade project (known as "MNU" for Mise à Niveau des Usines) was a major undertaking between 2005 and 2015 to modernize equipment and processes at the City’s key drinking water treatment plants, Atwater and Pierrefonds.





It included the addition of new processes in the treatment chain, such as seasonal coagulation-flocculation, modification and repair of filters in several galleries, pre-ozonation and ultraviolet treatment at Atwater, modernization of the ozonation system and addition of UV treatment at Des Baillets, construction of a new tank at the Pierrefonds plant, and securing the electrical power supply to the facilities.





Tyler was part of the team responsible for preparing specifications for the installation of UV reactors at Atwater as well as for the supply and installation of membranes at the Pierrefonds plant.
